Some people don’t need a spotlight to stand out. They bring energy, focus, and a good attitude to work every day. At Aquarelle Madagascar, Yannicke Martin is one of those people - a Cutting Operator whose quiet determination, positivity, and resilience inspire everyone around her.

Mornings that start with purpose

For Yannicke, mornings are the best part of the day. Waking up and getting ready for work gives her energy. She wakes up ready to move, ready to work, and ready to give her best. By the time she arrives at the factory, the day already feels full of possibility. She especially enjoys the morning mass and Connection sessions with her colleagues. It’s a moment to gather, share a few laughs, and start the day together. This is what sets the tone for the day.

It’s a simple ritual, but to Yannicke, connection is strength.

A Team that has her back

Yannicke lives with a hearing impairment, but on the factory floor, it’s never a barrier; because she is not alone.

Her team communicates, collaborates, and supports one another naturally. When announcements are made, her colleagues instinctively help translate. No fuss. Just teamwork.

“We face challenges together through good communication and mutual support,” she explains.

For Yannicke, it’s proof that respect and cooperation go a long way. Respect isn’t a policy; it’s a practice. And her team shows every day what inclusion truly looks like.

Independent, active, and always moving forward

Outside work, Yannicke embraces life with the same positivity. She lives independently in a small apartment, a space she keeps warm, comfortable, and truly hers. She takes pride in doing things on her own; organizing her home, planning her routine, and managing her life with confidence.

But she doesn’t sit still for long.

Dancing, Zumba, and regular workouts are some of her favorite ways to stay active and keep her spirit energized. Movement, to her, is joy.

Finding strength in the Everyday

Ask Yannicke what she enjoys most about her job, and the answer is simple: People.

The conversations.

The teamwork.

The sense of belonging to something bigger.

Her story is a powerful reminder that strength doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it’s found in small things like showing up every day, doing your job well, supporting the people around you, and moving forward with confidence every single day.

Her message for International Women’s Day

In Yannicke’s journey, empowerment isn’t defined by one dramatic turning point. It’s built through everyday actions: learning, growing, believing in yourself, and trusting your team.

This International Women’s Day, we honor women like her:

Women who lead with heart, lift other through kindness, and move forward with unwavering positivity.
