Gen Z meets HR: Emmanuel’s People-First Experience at CIEL Textile | Ciel Textile Website
At CIEL Textile, growth begins with people, not jobs titles or hierarchy. Emmanuel discovered this the moment he joined the HR team. What he expected to be a role focused on administrative tasks quickly became something much more meaningful: a space built on trust, mentorship, and shared learning.
From day one, Emmanuel experienced a culture where there is no gatekeeping. Managers trust you. Knowledge is shared openly. Every question is welcome. At CIEL Textile, HR is not just about policies and procedures: it’s about empowering people to feel good at work, perform their best, and grow with confidence.
A fresh perspective on HR at Tropic
When Emmanuel joined Tropic as an HR trainee, he was looking for hands-on experience, not just theory.
“I thought I’d be helping with small tasks,” he says with a smile, “instead, I was involved in real projects from day one!”
Young talent is empowered through mentorship rather than hierarchy.
That’s how he discovered CIEL Textile’s “people-first” culture. It’s the idea that happy people create their own success and in turn, the success of the company. It is this mindset that makes CIEL Textile truly special.
Wellness and teamwork in action
One of Emmanuel’s first projects was helping to organize a new employee wellness program. Each month, teams dedicate one hour for wellness activities. It’s their time to relax, recharge, and connect.
“It felt amazing to see everyone enjoy it,” he says. “That’s when I realized how HR can positively impact people’s everyday lives.”
Employee wellbeing isn’t an initiative which stays on paper at CIEL Textile. It’s something teams actively live and experience.
Learning and growing through trust and mentorship
With the support of his mentors, Emmanuel quickly developed new skills: navigating HR systems, analyzing data, and strengthening communication across teams. What made the difference wasn’t just training; it was trust!
“Everyone was always willing to explain, guide, and share what they knew,” he says. “That openness helped grow faster than I expected.”
It all reflects the people-first culture: learning together, celebrating every step forward, and growing collectively.
HR as a driver of positive change
Today, Emmanuel sees HR as a catalyst for meaningful transformation.
“It’s about building strong teams and a healthy culture,” he says. “We use data, ideas and collaboration to improve the employee experience for everyone.”
From wellness initiatives to training and development programs, HR innovation at CIEL Textile plays a key role in supporting both people and business growth. It’s proof that when trust replaces hierarchy and mentorship replaces gatekeeping, real growth follows for individuals, and for the organization as a whole.
